An Edible Craft Project

chef

When we think of kid’s in the kitchen the first thing that comes to mind is a big mess! Believe it or not kids and cooking go hand in hand. To them it is an edible craft project.  Being able to prepare their own food gives them a sense of self-esteem and it will also get them to try different things!

What They Are Saying

Sofia Enjoys the Class So Much

Sofia enjoys class so much and loves helping out in the kitchen – I believe a large part thanks to you. She also is always curious about foods and what food group they belong in 🙂

Thanks for another wonderful session. She will miss her weekly classes with you I am sure.

Enjoy your summer,

Hi Gail

Thank you so much for the great experience Charlie had with you!! He loves to help in the kitchen and always comes home so excited after cooking class. We just moved to Morristown, so this is our last month at Zadie’s. Hopefully we will be able to catch one of your classes for our little one Ellery at some other location in the future!
You do such a great job! Thanks again and take care,
You are simply amazing!!

Hope You Know

Hope you know how much we appreciate all that you do!!  You are simply amazing!! Thank you so much for bringing such a big smile to Charlotte’s face each week.

! Ms Gail

She has kept telling us you are her favorite class and she absolutely enjoys it. Thanks for such an excellent and informative program.
Thanks, Gail!

Kieran Was Very Excited

Kieran was very excited about her apron – she’s actually wearing it now 🙂  and I’m looking forward to getting her involved more in the kitchen and using her whisk at home!  The jam was great – but even better was Kieran actually (finally) describing how you guys  made it!

Cooking with Ms Gail at Harmony

Cooking with Miss Gail” is one of our most popular supplemental programs at The Harmony Schools. In addition to the children eating The wonderful treats that they make, they learn about the four food groups, nutrition, science and math. Gail truly enjoys the kids, and has become part of our Harmony family. We have enjoyed a working relationship with her for 10 years, and have found her to be professional – no cancelled classes unless there is an extreme weather emergency.

Healthy Eating

Dear Ms. Gail,

I just wanted to let you know that a few people have commented on how well my kids eating habits are and impressed that they are willing to try different foods. I really attribute a good part of that to your cooking class since both of them attended. I try to build on what you are teaching at home too! Thank you so much for spending the time with them and creating a fun learning environment around food!

Rohan is moving on

Hi Miss Gail,

Rohan is moving on to kindergarten this year. This has been my sons favorite class. I have been giving you all the credit this summer as he has tried so many new foods and cuisines… never gives us a hard time with eating  his vegetables.

Thank You for 4 wonderful years of cooking class!

Benefit of GP Kids Cooking for Children

Believe it or not, every healthy snack can be turned into an edible craft project...and I don’t just mean a big mess! As my Little Chefs learn to prepare their own food, their newfound responsibility helps to solidify their self-esteem. They learn to trust in their own abilities, and are more likely to see themselves as capable when trying new things in the future. GP Kids Cooking is designed to encourage young children to try new foods with a strong emphasis on healthy and safe cooking.
